Writing this as I return from my extended hiatus I feel a bit hypocritical, but I come to share some knowledge in my mistake. Spending months away from Lonely Wallet did not do any good for me or you whatsoever. This taught me a hard lesson that is present in all things in life with “extended vacations” and taking more time away than necessary. Like the corny toothpaste slogan, “If you’re not whitening, you’re yellowing”.
Procrastination is a virus! It is the number one obstacle that you can control that puts success further and further away. Like brushing your teeth daily, perfecting and working on your craft sharpens your skill and moves you forward. When you’re not working, you remain stagnant and begin to decline. That is what started to happen after taking time away from the blog, my writing now is not as sharp as it could be and I need to get back into the groove. Also, the entire site was deleted and it took me days to get everything back to normal. I’ve wasted time, so now I have to make the most of the time I have now. So, what am I going to do?
I’ll do what I advise you to do. DO. I understand my mistake and there is nothing worse than moping around complaining about my hard work disappearing before my eyes. Stop thinking about getting back to work and go get back to work! Moving forward is the only way to get you out the funk! Turn around and stop walking backwards, be consistent by doing something every day that’ll push you forward. You’ll soon wonder why you ever stopped as you’re enjoying kicking ass again.
